Loretta A. Lange, 78, of Belvidere died Friday, August 27, 2010, at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 10, 1932 in rural Jo Daviess, County, the daughter of Benjamin J. and Kate (Yackey) Bohnsack. Loretta married Vincent E. Lange in Galena on June 3, 1950. They had lived in Belvidere since 1968. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere. Loretta is survived by her husband, Vincent, of Belvidere; a daughter, Sandi (Terry) Aldershof, of Rockford; two sons, Larry (Loretta) Lange, of Belvidere and David (Sue) Lange of Rockford; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a grandson. A special thanks is extended to Dr. Lucietto, O.S.F. Hospice and Northwoods Care Center for their care during the last few months of Loretta’s life.
JAMES E. RESER
James E. Reser, 79, of Belvidere passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford. Born October 11, 1930 in Belvidere, the son of Byron L. and Lillian (Setterquist) Reser. Attended Belvidere schools. James served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. He married Dorothy Hauth on December 6, 1958 in Poplar Grove.
He was a lifelong Boone County resident and worked as a fuel oil deliveryman for J&D Oil, Belvidere. A member and past president of Belvidere Cosmopolitan Club; former alderman for city of Belvidere. Survived by his wife Dorothy Reser, Belvidere; son Dennnis James Reser, Belvidere; daughter, Carol Ann Arterburn, Rockford; grandchildren Justin, Megan, Joshua, and Mike Grenlund. Great-grandchildren Lyndsey, Ehren, Hannah, Trey. Preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Belvidere Funeral Home with the Rev. Rex Rogers, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment at Highland Garden of Memories. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home

GRACE F. BETTIN
Grace F. Bettin, 95, of Clinton Wis. died Friday Aug. 6, 2010 at Alden Meadow Park under the care of Beloit Regional Hospice. Grace was born December 7, 1914 to the late John Emerson and Lula Mae (Bixler) Roush in South Elgin, Ill. She married Gustav "Gus" Bettin on May 18, 1963. He preceded her in death on May 16, 1979. Grace was a wonderful homemaker and caregiver for Gus and her family.

"Pee Wee" Ronald Lee Hollembeak, 71, of Cherry Valley died Friday, July 30 at 1:37 p.m. from injuries in an automobile accident.
KITTY SALO
Kitty Salo, 91, of Rockford, formerly of Great Falls, MT, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, in Alden Park Strathmoor Nursing Home. Born November 6, 1918 in Livingston, MT, daughter of Pete and Elma (Mather) Killorn. Graduated from Belgrade High School in Montana. Married Jacob Palo on November 24, 1938 in Great Falls, and they later divorced. Married Henry Salo in Great Falls on February 15, 1961. He died on January 10, 1970. Kitty operated restaurants and Kitty’s Katering for many years. She will forever be remembered for her cooking and especially for her divinity.
LINDA E. HOVE
Linda E. Hove, 61, of Rockford, died on Monday, July 26, 2010, in Milestone, Southbridge home. Born February 17, 1948 in Belvidere, daughter of Melvin and Helen (Loudenbeck) Hove. Member of Capron Lutheran Church and Women of the Moose, Belvidere Lodge 1052. Worked as an assembler for Milestone Industries and enjoyed playing bingo.
ALLAN L. SCHWEBKE
Allan L. Schwebke, 52 of Spring Hill, Fla, died unexpectedly at home on March 27, 2010. He was born in Belvidere, and graduated from Belvidere High School in 1976. He lived in Spring Hill, Fla for the past seven years and was the stockroom manager at ICTC in Brooksville, Fla. Allan loved gardening and grew beautiful flowers in his yard.
EDGAR CHARLES SKRINE, JR.
Edgar Charles Skrine, Jr., 71, of Roscoe, died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Swedish American Hospital after a long illness. Born January 24, 1939 in Melrose Park, son of Edgar C. and Nola (Nading) Skrine, Sr. Married H. Jean Rasmussen on February 9, 1952 in Dubuque, Iowa. She died on October 18, 2009. Edgar served our country in the U.S. Army, was a Mason and Shriner and a member of the Mosaic Church in Rockford. Retired as a security guard and fire marshal from Chrysler and as a security guard from the Boone County Court House.
