BELVIDERE - Valhall Lodge, Sons of Norway, will have its second annual picnic 5:30 p.m. Aug. 3 at the Boone County Conservation District, 603 North Appleton Road.
Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. at the Caster’s Building, near the Administration Center.
Entrée of meatballs, gravy and potato salad will be provided, as will beverages and table settings. Cost is a donation. Salads, fruit, vegetable dishes and desserts are requested.
Dan Holmes and Bruce Poulter will provide entertainment. There will be hand-carved wooden items by Larry Anderson on display.
The Viking game, Kubb, will be available to play.The Nyhus cabin and the Norwegian garden will be open to explore.
Reservations not required but appreciated, so food quantities can be planned.
